Nebula Pillar
The Nebula Pillar spawns teleporting magic enemies that are hard to track. Brain Sucklers attach to your head and deal continuous damage, Nebula Floaters teleport and fire magic bolts, and Predictors shoot homing projectiles. Build an open arena with clear sightlines and kill 100/150 enemies. Drops Nebula Fragments for Nebula Arcanum, Nebula Blaze, and Nebula Armor.

Core Strategy: Keep Clear Sightlines
Brain Sucklers are the #1 threat. Keep open space so you can see them teleporting in and kill them before they attach.
Nebula enemies teleport. Without clear sightlines, they appear next to you with zero warning. Brain Sucklers disable your attacks entirely when attached. An open arena with platforms gives you visibility and escape routes.
- 1Build a wide-open platform arena — teleporting enemies need space to spot
- 2Kill Brain Sucklers on sight — they disable your attacks when attached
- 3Use homing weapons against Nebula Floaters — they teleport too fast for aimed shots
- 4Fly in one direction to outrun Predictor homing shots
- 5Clear 100 enemies (150 Expert) and burst the 20,000 HP pillar

Behavior Patterns
Brain Suckler — Teleporting Parasite
Brain Sucklers teleport directly to you and latch onto your head, dealing continuous damage and obscuring your vision. You CANNOT attack while one is attached. Mash movement keys and jump to shake them off. Kill them immediately after detaching — they will re-attach if left alive.
Nebula Floater — Teleporting Mage
Nebula Floaters teleport near you and fire homing magic bolts. Each bolt deals 60+ damage. They are hard to track because they blink in and out. Use homing weapons so you do not need precise aim. Keep moving to avoid bolt clusters.
Predictor — Homing Shot Sniper
Predictors fire slow but powerful homing projectiles that track for a long time. The projectiles deal 70+ damage and are hard to shake. Outrun them by flying in one direction, or use solid blocks to absorb them. Kill Predictors at range before their shots stack up.
Nebula Pillar Advanced Techniques
Brain Suckler Quick-Detach
When a Brain Suckler attaches, rapidly alternate left-right movement keys while mashing jump. This detaches them in about 1 second. Immediately attack the moment they drop — they have low HP but will re-latch if not killed.
Floater Teleport Prediction
Nebula Floaters tend to teleport to positions 10-20 blocks away from you in the direction you are moving. If you run right, they often appear ahead of you on the right. Pre-fire homing weapons in your movement direction to catch them on arrival.
Predictor Shot Wallblock
Predictor homing shots cannot pass through solid blocks. If shots are tracking you, duck behind a platform or terrain feature. The shots will impact the block and disappear. This is safer than trying to outrun multiple shots simultaneously.

Brain Suckler AttachmentHigh
Brain Sucklers teleport to you and latch on, dealing continuous damage and disabling all attacks
Kill Brain Sucklers on sight before they reach you. If attached, mash movement keys and jump to detach. Kill them the instant they fall off — they will re-attach.
Nebula Floater AmbushHigh
Nebula Floaters teleport next to you with zero warning and fire 60+ damage bolts point-blank
Keep moving in open space. Floaters telegraph teleport with a brief visual cue. Use homing weapons so you can fire without stopping to aim.
Predictor Shot StackingMed
Multiple Predictor homing shots tracking you simultaneously
Fly in one direction to outpace them — they are slow but persistent. Use solid blocks as shields. Kill Predictors at range before their shots accumulate.
Cluttered ArenaMed
Trees, terrain, and obstacles block your view of teleporting enemies
Clear a 150-block wide open area with platforms. Sightlines save your life against teleporters.

FAQ
QHow do you remove Brain Sucklers when they attach in Terraria?
Mash movement keys (left-right rapidly) and spam jump. This detaches the Brain Suckler in about 1 second. The instant it drops off, attack and kill it — Brain Sucklers have low HP but will immediately re-attach if left alive. You cannot use any weapons while one is attached, so prevention is better: kill them on sight before they reach you. Homing weapons and minions are best since they keep dealing damage even while you are disabled.
QWhat is the best weapon for Nebula Pillar?
Razorblade Typhoon is the top pick across all classes. It fires homing discs that auto-track teleporting enemies, which solves the biggest problem at Nebula Pillar — you cannot aim at enemies that blink in and out of existence. Vortex Beater with Chlorophyte Bullets is second for rangers. Xeno Staff is the best summoner option since UFOs retarget instantly when enemies teleport.
QWhy is Nebula Pillar harder than it looks?
Three reasons: Brain Sucklers disable your attacks entirely when attached, Nebula Floaters teleport and fire 60+ damage bolts point-blank with no warning, and Predictor homing shots track you for a long time. The combination of attack-disabling parasites and teleporting shooters makes this pillar disorienting. The fix is a wide-open arena for sightlines and homing weapons for automatic targeting.
QWhat does Nebula Fragment craft?
At the Ancient Manipulator: Nebula Arcanum (magic orb, 70 base damage, lingering AoE), Nebula Blaze (homing fireball, 130 base damage explosion, top single-target magic DPS), and Nebula Armor (mage set where killed enemies drop damage/mana/life boosters that stack 3 times). 12-60 fragments per pillar kill. Nebula Armor with stacking buffs makes mage the strongest class for Moon Lord.
QHow many enemies to break the Nebula Pillar shield?
100 in Normal, 150 in Expert/Master. The challenge is that Nebula enemies teleport, making them harder to track and kill compared to other pillars. Brain Sucklers waste your time by disabling attacks. Focus on killing Brain Sucklers first, then use homing weapons to efficiently clear Floaters and Predictors. Steady kills are more important than speed here.
Stats
Kill 100/150 surrounding enemies to break the shield, then attack the Pillar (20,000 HP, 20 DEF)
