Trigger Conditions

The Pirate Invasion is a Hardmode invasion event with massive coin drops and rare equipment:

1 Mechanical BossMust have defeated at least one Mechanical Boss. Can be triggered manually with a Pirate Map or wait for random trigger.
6 TypesPirate Maps drop from Ocean biome enemies. Using one immediately triggers the invasion.
Lucky CoinOnce conditions are met, there's a chance each dawn for a random trigger.

Enemy Types

The Pirate Invasion features several enemy types:

Pirate Deckhand — Basic melee enemy, numerous but not strong.

Pirate Crossbower — Ranged attacks with high damage, priority target.

Pirate Captain — Elite enemy with high HP and damage.

Flying Dutchman — A flying ship that fires cannonballs. Destroying it can drop rare items.

Rare Drops

Pirate Invasion rare drops are extremely valuable:

Lucky Coin — Each hit has a chance to drop coins. Core item for AFK money farming.
Discount Card — Permanent 20% discount at NPC shops, saves massive gold.

Coin Gun — Uses coins as ammo. Platinum coins deal enormous damage.

Farm Design

Build a pirate farm for efficient repeat invasions:

Build a chokepoint farm near NPC town with lava traps and Spiky Balls for auto-kills.
Use Treasure Magnet or item range accessories to collect all drops.
Stockpile Pirate Maps for consecutive invasions.

Practical Tips

Tips for efficient Pirate Invasions:

Don't ignore the Flying Dutchman — Its drop table includes some of the rarest items.
Pre-farm Pirate Maps — Use Water Candles and Battle Potions in the Ocean biome.
Lucky Coin has ~0.025% drop rate. Multiple invasions needed — be patient.
